Panic attacks occur when a person is in an imminent danger or in no danger
or in an ordinary situation. Panic attack can strike suddenly and without
any warning when other people are nearby. There is a slow but steady progress
of panic symptoms when the attack takes place. Feelings of fear and anxiety
reach their peak finally.
The symptoms of fear and anxiety feel like starting from the base of the
stomach and working their way upwards through out your body. Shortly afterwards
they grow in their intensity when you experience diseased breathing or
shortness of breath.
You feel the need to control your breathing as you realize that the body
is not respiring naturally. Soon you begin to sweat and tremble and feel
the chest tightening up and the heart palpitating. He becomes dizzy and
the entire body shakes and shivers.
It is at this stage that people experience feelings of unreality. They
feel that they are in a different dimension or feel like looking at the
world as a different person. Feelings of fear and anxiety gradually increase
now.
There is natural reaction for fear on the part of the body. Asphyxia,
dizziness and palpitation intensify as the panic attack symptoms gain
strength.
Panic attack symptoms, in their intensity, make the person flee from their
location to some other nearby place with people. Victims of panic attack
do not remain in the same place. They go in search of a place for their
loneliness.
The range of panic attack of symptoms is between a few minutes to an hour
depending upon the person and the total reaction to the panic attack symptoms.
